In GRAPE, a basic set of interactive features is available independent of the projects loaded; in this chapter we will introduce all of these standard features. They include operations on geometrical objects like translating or rotating in space, changing surface shading colors, but also creating light sources and maintaining the object hierarchy. For short, we could say, the standard operations divide into viewing operations and controlling operations.
In this chapter we will give a detailed description of the different elements in each menu. Make sure that you understand the GRAPE displaying concept (see 4.3.5). Only the knowlege of this basic concept will enable you to understand what's going on.
