Another control element similar to the ruler is the scrollbar (see figure 4.10).
A scrollbar is often used to scroll a list of file names or method names. The size of the bar corresponds to the proportion of visible and invisible entries. By scrolling the bar up and down - continously by dragging, linewise by using the step buttons, or pagewise by clicking above or below the bar -, the currently visible part of the list can be changed.
