Inputs

  Inputs are fields where text or numbers can be entered. As long as they are not selected, they look like ordinary buttons. After they have been selected, new text can be typed in to replace an existent entry, or an already existent entry can be edited by starting with one of the following keys: "cursor left", "cursor right", "home" or "end" (see figure 4.4).

Press "enter" or the left mouse button to finish typing, use the middle mouse button or select another input to restore the contents of the input field.

Reference of special keys:

cursor left/right
move the cursor one character backwards/forward
home/end
move the cursor to begin or end of line
delete
delete a character at cursor position
backspace
delete a character backwards
escape
clear the input field
enter
end typing
tab
either complete the current word, or switch to the next input field of the same layer (depends on the context)
