I/O Methods on Surface

These methods are provided even though there are no description files for class Surfacey, the extension for Surface files is *.sf (refer to section 7.4.1.6 for these methods on Time_Object).

   GRAPE(surface, "xdr")(xdrp)

SURFACE * surface
XDR * xdrp

Read the surface instance from or write it to the XDR stream xdrp. This method should not be called directly, refer to 5.7 (especially 5.7.3) for details.

This methods handles all Surface instance variables but asso. If you use an asso variable which is different from the one returned by "get-asso" you have to change it after reading in data.
