We perform a numerical study of a knotted flow through a cylinder. In this example - which is due to Conley - based on certain assumptions on the flow Wazewski's Theorem guarantees the existence of an unstable invariant set inside the cylinder. We explicitly construct a flow with the desired properties and approximate the corresponding invariant set using set oriented multilevel subdivision techniques.
