comprehensive documentation - available in postscript- and
html-version - helping the user to take advantage of the improvements
and new facilities. This release is the first documented double

Sparse-Grids and 3-Dimensional Lamé-Equation
February 12, 1996 - There is a diploma thesis being written on
"Sparse-Grids and 3-Dimensional Lamé-Equation", and some information
on this project has been added to the list of our GRAPE applications -
check it out!
GRAPE 5.0 available for DEC workstations
January 1996 - You can download a GRAPE 5.0 library for DEC workstations (see
Download Package and Manuals).
Minimal Surface Library
January 1996 - A
minimal surface library
is now available as a second example of our applications.
Minimal surfaces are those with mean curvature zero.
In this library you will find some of the well known classical and some new
examples of complete minimal surfaces.
Each example is provided with one ore more pictures and a short description
of its mathematical properties.
All surfaces in this library are represented by Weierstrass data and
computed by the project Amandus of GRAPE.
Most of the surfaces can be deformed interactively with GRAPE.
Also you can see a lot of these surface deformations in the movie
Palast der Seifenhäute (Touching Soap Films).
You can download the library as a package of data files (see
Download Package and Manuals).
New GRAPE Release available
October 1995 - Finally the new GRAPE release is available. It was introduced
by us on the "Workshop Visualisierung" in Feldberg at the beginning of this
month. At the moment the download section of the GRAPE WWW pages doesn't offer
all the different libraries we used to offer but the missing ones will come
up soon.
The updated version is released together with
a comprehensive documentation - available soon in an html-version too -
helping the user to take advantage of the
improvements and new facilities. You will be impressed by the improved
Control Window and its "GUI-like" appearance made possible by new control
objects which can be arranged in a hierarchy.
