Projects

By reading through the index you will have realized that a large part of the manual is devoted to describing projects. Projects are the basic concept in GRAPE for organizing the program and enhancing the modularity of the package. A project consists of a set of classes, methods and interactive elements (a ``user-interface'') for a specific problem, it can be added and removed interactively during runtime. There are lots of predefined projects, so before you start programming yourself its certainly worth to have a look at them to see what's available -- see section 4.5.4 for a short overview, chapter 8 for a detailed description. Using projects is easy, you just have to know how to handle them with the GRAPE manager (see section 4.5.3). For programmers using a project has many advantages, an example can be found in chapter 5.6.
